Technical Lead – Web Technologies

Ucombinator is looking for an experienced Technical Lead to be a part of our team to design, build, and guide the delivery of scalable enterprise software solutions. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and QA teams to plan, architect, and implement high-quality systems that handle large volumes of data—while mentoring engineers and driving best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications that handle high-scale data and complex business workflows.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, including creating and maintaining clear technical documentation.
• Own technical planning: scope work, break down requirements, and translate user stories into well-defined engineering tasks.
• Implement technical designs end-to-end: writing code, integrating with existing services, building new services/components, and improving system architecture.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability standards, aligned with company engineering practices and coding standards.
• Drive quality through strong engineering discipline, including code reviews, architectural reviews, testing strategy, and collaboration with QA to deliver production-ready releases.
• Provide leadership and mentorship by giving constructive feedback, supporting team growth, and promoting clean, consistent engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of industry experience, including prior experience as an Associate Technical Lead / Technical Lead (or similar leadership role).
• Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern web technologies and architectures, such as:
  • RESTful APIs, microservices, HTML5
  • Java, Spring, Python
  • JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js
  • React, React Native, Angular
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, and familiarity with software patterns and engineering principles.
• Proficiency with Agile processes, CI/CD, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with system observability (logging/monitoring), performance tuning, and secure development best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
